Prompt: For Some Reason The Ducks Were Not Happy Today - From Episode 03
It was a very ordinary day when it happened. The girls were on break & went to the small park around the corner. They were chattering, loudly complaining about their supervisor. Bertha stopped suddenly.
Vee bumped into her. "Hey what gives? she said, rubbing her nose.
"Sorry.Take a look at those ducks" she whispered. "Do they seem weird today?
"Huh?" Fran frowned."They don't look very happy."
They all turned toward the small lake & stared; the ducks were staring back.
"What are they staring at?" Sandy whispered. They were the only ones around.
"We are staring at you!" an outspoken duck announced.
"Pardon?" Vee squeaked. "Yeah you. Everyday we come here for a bit of peace & quiet away from ganders & chicks." a gray duck fluttered her wings.
"Then you lot come up whining & complaining about all the stress in your dull lives" said another.
Vee sputtered "But.."
"The solution to your problem is between your ears--meditation."
"You--meditate?" "Most animals do. Your kind always miss the simple things. Why you 'A' types think you rule the world is beyond me!!".
The ducks took one more disgusted look at the girls & flew away.

I write because of the noise in my head; the noise of so many worlds clambering to be recognized. Because my imagination causes a slow burn in my gut when I don't.Maybe it's just my natural flow to be reclusive & reflective, constantly reframing the tiny world I call my own.Maybe all of them times two.
